The esthetics course of study consists of 600 clock hours covering all aspects of esthetics work (skin care, make-up, and waxing). The curriculum is mandated by the State of California, Department of Regulation & Licensing. The course is designed to prepare the student to pass the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology examination, and to help the student obtain the knowledge and skills needed for an entry level position in the beauty field. Passing the exam is a prerequisite to obtaining an Esthetics License. The license is a requirement to operate as an Esthetician in the state of California.

The Esthetics program provides instruction in all aspects of esthetics work, including skin care, make up, and spa treatments. The program prepares students for testing and licensing by the State Board of Cosmetology.
Academy courses prepare students for a sophisticated, real-world salon environment. Students learn what is required by the State Board but also what is demanded in a real-world salon.
Graduates from this program receive a diploma and/or any certifications earned during the course of the program.
